Moderate Rehabilitation
The $3M moderate rehabilitation of Skymark Tower involved successfully repositioning a 24-story, 196 unit mixed-use structure originally built in 1991. Improvements include significant façade repairs with signage and accent lighting, elevator modernization, and building entrance upgrades. The stylish interior redesign elevates the building’s appeal with a welcoming, lively aesthetic, including a reimagined resident lobby with new furnishings and fixtures, an upgraded fitness center, and an enhanced resident entertainment lounge. Mailroom improvements incorporate package-receiving services through Amazon secure lockers.
Distinctive elements such as woodwork detailing, custom wallcoverings, and artwork contribute to a unique identity for the property, which has been renamed The 6Hundred. This transformation positions the building as a catalyst for future investments in the downtown area. Conveniently located in the Federal Square neighborhood and a rapidly emerging arts district, the property is within walking distance to Polar Park and a short distance from many of Worcester’s colleges
