Atwood is a new 323,000 sq. ft. tranquil apartment community sited on 28 acres of wooded hilltop high above Route 1. Its location allows residents to experience a window into nature’s inherent harmony with commanding views of the adjacent pond and forested areas, the Boston skyline, and the oceanfront beyond. The community is comprised of 300 apartment homes, including 75 affordable-rate residences, ranging from studios to three bedrooms.
From the moment residents walk through the front entrance of the multifamily community, they are greeted by a two-story foyer, an opulent double-sided marble-style fireplace, and a grand staircase with a gabion wall behind. Jewel tones of deep turquoise, rich plum, and emerald green complement the fireplace’s cream-colored stone surround with gray veining. A custom ceiling-hung sculpture above the intimate seating areas of the lobby provides a feeling of home, while the warm glow of the fire further enhances the ambiance of the adjacent lounge and coworking spaces. The adjoining library provides ample reading material, creating the perfect place to curl up with a book and enjoy the balance of grace and comfort of the glowing fireplace. The chef’s kitchen, pub, gaming lounge, and dog spa add to the luxurious feel of first-floor amenities.
Tucked away from residences in its own corner of the second floor, residents have access to a two-story rock-climbing wall, a dedicated children’s play area, and a fitness and yoga center overlooking the grand staircase and foyer below. Ascending to the top floor, a maker space provides a hub of creativity while a rooftop deck and sky lounge allow for relaxation and sweeping views.
Outside, a pool is surrounded by a courtyard with grills and firepits, and a separate south-facing terrace is shaped around a rock outcropping, providing seating areas, circuits of outdoor fitness equipment, a dog park, and resident gardens. With both an architectural and interior design focus on creating indoor/outdoor connections, Atwood marries the beauty of nature with the modern needs of its residents.
